Microstrain

From 1998-2007, Microstrain, Inc., of Burlington, Vermont funded an award that recognized superior achievement in the area of instrumentation. The award recognized the individual's innovative application of existing instrumentation or developement of new instrumentation for use in the field of biomechanics.

Selection from the the top 10th percentile of abstracts submitted to the annual meeting. The award consisted of an engraved plaque and a check for $1,000.

  • Eligibility
    • The award competition was open to scientists of any age and stage in their career (for example, undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty and researchers) both in and outside the U.S. Candidates for the award must be the first or sole author on an abstract of original research submitted to the ASB annual meeting.
