ASB Strategic Plan

ASB members,

Strategic planning determines where an organization is going, how it's going to get there and how it'll know if it got there or not.   The ASB Executive Board (XB) has begun a process to develop a Strategic Plan for the Society.  The XB has developed a draft document over the past year.  The purpose of this document is to develop and communicate a plan for the future direction of the Society.  The plan is a series of multiyear goals and associated strategies which the Society is currently pursuing or will initiate in order to reach our shared objectives.  It is meant to serve as a link between the present and the future.

We are now at the point where input from the ASB members is important in order to form a consensus vision of the Society’s future.  The draft Strategic Plan is now posted on the ASB website.  A contact person has been established for each goal.

Please review the document and provide feedback.  The XB will compile all of your comments and finalize the document in the first half of 2007.  We will post a final version before the 2007 Annual Meeting and ask you to ratify the document at the Annual Meeting.  This document will then serve to guide us into the future.
